We’re bidding farewell to summer… in Montenegro, a place that has been top of G&T’s list for many years. We were incredibly lucky to stumble upon this waterfront gem in Ljuta, set right on the Adriatic, where we’ll spend our days sunning ourselves on loungers. Kotor (only 5 minutes down the road) is the medieval town you’ve been reading about everywhere, set in a bay with spectacular views of the Adriatic, and we’ll be taking a private tour to discover its history and secrets.
I’m just going to put this out there: G&T Weekends are more than your typical holiday trip – they are a genuinely transformative experience!
Don’t believe me? Well, on the G&T Weekends’ recent outing, Easter in a Moroccan Villa, I became a pigeon, a shellfish, a cowboy, a turkey whisperer, a turtle and a prophet...
Sometimes there is nothing better than passing your vacation time by a pool, cocktail in one hand, book in the other. But when you’re spending your precious annual leave or a bank holiday weekend somewhere new, the call of adventure can be even more enticing. When you’re in a city as beautiful (and conveniently located) as Geneva, Switzerland why not make the most of the opportunities that await you?
Whether you're meeting friends in the pub after a deadline-filled week, or are celebrating a milestone with a special someone, there is a bar in London for EVERY occasion… and then about a million more.
We couldn't possibly name all of our recommendations (drink responsibly, everyone). But we've put together a list of a few of our favourites...
I first fell in love with New York when I was twelve, when my mum took me to NYC for an exhibition she wanted to see at The Met, We visited the MoMa, when shopping at Bloomingdale's and had our portraits drawn in Central Park (I like to think that my taste is less touristy now). I've been an NYC devotee ever since, and am fortunate enough that my 9-5 in fashion brings me back to The Big Apple regularly. With New Yorker friends with their fingers on the pulse of what's going on in the city, and a bit of luck stumbling upon real gems, I have amassed a compilation four pages long of my favourite spots. To spare you the bore of going through all that literature, here are my top picks for NYC in 2017.
After a G&T Weekend spent in a luxe Icelandic lodge, complete with Northern Lights sightings and fireworks on New Year’s Eve, a private Golden Circle tour, and a visit to the Blue Lagoon, G headed to Reykjavik with Freya McOmish from Scandinavia Standard.
Christmas presents can be a tricky thing to navigate. The easy, box set days of holidays past are gone (who owns a DVD player??), and gauging your loved ones wants/ needs during the holidays can be difficult. Read on for my picks for giving your friends, family and lovers what they really want this Christmas...
Miami’s natural state of palm trees, Bougainvillea, azure-coloured water with white sand beaches is made even more beautiful juxtaposed against Art Deco and Modernist buildings. Add in a world-class nightlife, incredible restaurants and a distinct art scene, and you’ve got the ideal long weekend destination (or longer, if you can handle it…). These are the hot spots I tried and tested, just for you, dear reveller…
San Sebastián has slowly become one of the food capitals of Europe. It has the most Michelin starred restaurants in the surrounding area, but first and foremost it is also known for it's pintxos. San Sebastián has so many options for foodie delights, so it can get quite overwhelming if you don’t know where to go. I’ve put together my picks for the best little bars in San Sebastian.
We had the night of our lives at our Crayfish Party in a Swedish Lakehouse in August. A big part of what made our night such a huge success was our fabulous Swedish Toastmaster, Fanny Wahlqvist.
Fanny (also know as DJ Fanacy) steered us through the fabulous tradition of singing crayfish songs. If you're hosting a crayfish party of your own, these songs are a must-have!
Here at G&T Weekends, we are big fans of any celebration, and one that involves mountains of cheese, piles of seafood and never-ending frivolities is right up our street. So how do you throw a Swedish Crayfish party in the decidedly UN-Swedish city of London?
